Creflo Dollar: God is Love

Creflo Dollar: God is Love - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar MinistriesGreat quote from pastor Rick Warren that just fits perfectly with our topic of love. Creflo Dollar is passionate about loving God’s people. It is so apparent in the work that his ministry does all over the world.

“God is love. He didn’t need us. But he wanted us. And that is the most amazing thing.”

Creflo Dollar: Be Healed

Be Healed - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministriesby: Creflo Dollar

We all know someone who was sick or injured at one time, and usually the person recovered under a doctor’s care. Sometimes, though, their health continued to deteriorate, and no one could do anything to save them. Situations like this are frustrating at best and heart-breaking at worst, and it’s a helpless feeling having to stand by and watch loved ones suffer. But when we study our Bible, we see that healing is actually God’s will for those who believe the promises He makes to us.

All throughout the Bible, we see examples of God’s healing power. Depending solely on doctors to keep us healthy can be hit or miss, and it’s always expensive. But one day when a woman who was in a predicament sought out Jesus when He was preaching to the people, she was instantly healed. “And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, because she thought, ‘If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.’ Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering. He said to her, ‘Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering’” (Mark 5:25-29, 34, NIV). Jesus has been called the Great Physician, the Author of life, and the Prince of Peace, for good reason.

When God heals us, we get peace along with healing. Now, being a doctor is a noble profession, but none of them can give us the peace that comes from Jesus Christ! Jesus had compassion on the people He met, and He e cast out evil spirits and healed paralytics, deaf, mute, and blind people, and even resurrected the dead on several occasions. Imagine how their families and friends felt while witnessing this firsthand.

Don’t get me wrong—I’m not putting down doctors, but despite all the education and book learning they soak up, there are some things that even they can’t do. Wise doctors admit as much. When they’ve done all they can, faithful prayer causes miracles. “And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him” (James 5:15).

There’s a link between healing and forgiveness of sins, and there was a reason Jesus was whipped and beaten before His crucifixion. “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5, NKJV). God heals us not just physically, but mentally, emotionally, and spiritually as well. There’s a definite connection between the mind and the body. When we know we’re forgiven, spiritual healing of the soul begins on the inside and moves outward.

The story of Jesus and the leper shows that healing and cleansing are also linked. “And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And he put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will: be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy departed from him” (Luke 5:12, 13). Spiritual cleansing is just as much God’s will as physical healing. It’s ours by faith!

Creflo Dollar: Are You Loving or Selfish?

Are You Loving or Selfish? - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar MinistriesDo you ever find it really difficult to love someone? Loving your enemies really is a test of character and too often I fail at it. Creflo Dollar offers a challenging message in this article. See what you think.

As a Christian, you are commanded to love everyone—the good, the bad and the ugly (John 13:34). It is not an option; you can’t pick and choose whom to love. The only choice you have in the matter is whether or not you will obey the commandment. Unfortunately, many believers are in a state of disobedience because their decision to love is based on feelings or on whether their love is returned. That is conditional, human love—it profits nothing. Others fail to walk in love because they believe that it is impossible for them to love as Goes does. They fail to realize that God would never ask anyone to do something that isn’t within their capacity to accomplish. Every born–again believer has the ability to walk in love.

When you became born again, you received an “injection of love” from the Holy Spirit, Who came to live inside of you. As a result, you have an anointing, or God—given ability that makes it possible for you to love in a supernatural way. You can show affection toward others despite their actions. In addition, you are more than capable of retaliating the right way, which is according to the Word of God. Continue reading

Dr. Creflo Dollar: Daily Devotions

Daily Devotions - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministriesby: Creflo Dollar

Creflo Dollar offers great encouragement with daily devotions. Here is a really good one.

“But earnestly desire and zealously cultivate the greatest and best gifts and graces (the higher gifts and the choicest graces). And yet I will show you a still more excellent way [one that is better by far and the highest of them all–love]” (1 Corinthians 12:31, The Amplified Bible).

Love is greater than any spiritual gift you could ask for or receive. While you should desire to have spiritual gifts, desire the love of God more than anything else. Continue reading

Creflo Dollar: Divine Health and Wholeness

Divine Health and Wholeness - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministriesby: Creflo Dollar

Life can be a joyful adventure for some people, but painful and depressing for others. Sickness, grief, and brokenness can bruise and wound the spirit, and if we tried to withstand the pain on our own, we would crumble. Fortunately, we have promises of health and vigorous life from God, and these eternal promises are better than any health care plan. God’s plans for our healing and wholeness are found in many places throughout the Bible.

Sickness can take many forms, and it can attack the body or the mind. When we’ve tried all we can but got no results, we finally reach our lowest point. We mustn’t just accept the situation, assuming God must be trying to teach us something by making us sick. The story of Jesus healing the leper tells us that healing is actually His will for us. “Now a leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him, ‘If You are willing, You can make me clean.’ Then Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, ‘I am willing; be cleansed.’ As soon as He had spoken, immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed” (Mark 1:40-42, NKJV).

The mind plays a large part in the healing process, and doctors are just now discovering that patients who have strong faith are much more likely to recover. Jesus healed many people, including the woman with the bleeding disorder. The link between faith and healing is no coincidence. “And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, and had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, when she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. For she said, if I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague” (Mark 5:25-29, 34).

We can even be spiritually sick from sin in our lives, and God heals us in this area also. Our mind can influence what happens in our physical body, and wrong thinking can eventually make us physically sick. Jesus is also known as the Prince of Peace, and He can restore the peace of mind that sin steals from us. He was scourged and crucified to make this type of healing available to everyone. “Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:4, 5).

During Jesus’ ministry, His reputation for restoring the broken and missing parts of people, physically as well as mentally, spread far and wide. We read story after story of Him healing paralytics, the blind and the lame, casting out the demons of mental illness, and even raising the dead. When sickness has stolen our health, or circumstances have robbed us of our peace of mind and emotional well-being, God restores it back to us and makes us whole again. “Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and uphold me with a willing spirit” (Psalm 51:12, AMP). He is willing to do this!

Maintaining Your Confidence Through Righteousness

Maintaining Your Confidence Through Righteousness - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar MinistriesCreflo Dollar preached a sermon about confidence and how through righteousness we are able to uphold that.  Here are the study notes that went with the sermon. Enjoy them!

Maintaining Your Confidence Through Righteousness

Confidence in God’s love for you connects you to the anointing. It is also the first area where the Enemy attacks the believer. When you don’t have a firm grasp on your righteousness, your confidence in God’s ability to manifest Himself in your life will be diminished.

  1. Confidence is your connection to the anointing (Hebrews 10:35).
  2. Confidence, for the believer, is assurance, trust and a firm belief in God’s love for you.
    • Because of this love, God will manifest Himself to you (John 14:21).
  3. The number one fear of Christians is that the promises of God won’t come to pass.
  4. Confidence is the Devil’s first area of attack; if he can get you to doubt God’s love for you, he can prevent you from receiving God’s promises.
  • Understanding the free gift of righteousness is a root to your confidence in God.
    1. The moment you doubt your righteousness because of sin-consciousness, your confidence in God will be out of place.
    2. Righteousness cannot be earned; it is a free gift that is given by God’s grace.
    3. All of mankind are born into sin because of Adam’s high treason in the Garden of Eden, and all men are made righteous through Jesus Christ (Romans 5:12-21).
      1. The only thing you need to do to become a sinner is to be born, and the only thing you need to do to be made righteous is to be born again.
      1. If you don’t receive the gift of righteousness, you will not rule and reign in life.
      2. Righteousness, however, is not a license to sin (Romans 6:1-2).God enables you to rule in life through the free gift of righteousness.

Creflo Dollar: Do All Religions Lead to God?

Do All Religions Lead to God? - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar MinistriesCreflo Dollar gave great insight to what different major religions believe. Very interesting.

Christianity, Scientology, Buddhism, Hinduism, Calvinism, Mormonism, Islam, what’s the difference? With great sensitivity, I embark on answering the age—old question many have pondered for centuries—Do all religions lead to God? As a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, most of the world already knows my stance on this subject. Yet in this article my aim is not to bombard you with my personal thoughts, but rather give you information to consider if you or someone you know is struggling for a conclusion on this matter.

Rick Warren, a pastor and best—selling Christian author, offers an interesting interpretation to this highly debated inquiry. In response to the question, Do all religions lead to God, Warren answers:”Can I go into a phone booth and dial any phone number and get home? No, there’s only one number that’ll get me home. I could be sincere, but I could be sincerely wrong. The truth is, all roads don’t lead to Rome and all roads and all religions don’t lead to God“. Continue reading

Creflo Dollar: Quality of Life

Quality of Life - Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar Ministriesby: Pastor Creflo Dollar

Creflo Dollar posted these notes from his sermon, Quality of Life. Hopefully they will help you get a more in-depth understanding of his message.

Summary:

God cares about our happiness, and He really wants us to enjoy life. We should not only be focused on quantity but also quality in life.

A. Jesus died so we could have life and have it more abundantly (John 10:10, AMP).

  1. The abundant life describes the abundance of quality in all areas of life.
    • We can choose to be happy; the Apostle Paul thought himself happy (Acts 26:2).
    • We are happy when we discover what to do in seemingly impossible situations. That is the benefit of wisdom (Proverbs 3:13).
    • The word blessed is defined in The Amplified Bible as “happy, spiritually prosperous, joyous, and enviable.”
    • Blessed are the pure in heart; they will see God (Matthew 5:8, AMP). Continue reading

Creflo Dollar: Spiritual Farming

Spiritual Farming - Dr. Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar MinistriesAuthor: Creflo Dollar

I don’t know if you are familiar with farming, but the same principles farmers use to yield a bountiful harvest of vegetables or fruit are the same ones that Believers are supposed to use to experience the harvest of God’s blessings in their lives. Any farmer must first put seed in the ground before he can harvest his crop. Then, there is a waiting period in which he must be patient. During that time, he must watch over his crop to make sure it is properly watered and cared for, making sure that his field or garden is protected from animals or pests that may try to eat his goods! God’s system of operation is identical to natural farming in that it also operates by seed time and harvest. Christians are the spiritual “farmers” who must diligently plant seeds and exert effort to harvest their blessings.

In Mark 4:26–27 Jesus compares the Kingdom of God to seed–sowing: “And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.” Please understand, farming isn’t for the lazy person; it takes work! But even when you can’t see anything happening, have faith that your seed is growing and will produce a harvest in due season.

The first thing you must do in God’s spiritual farming system is plant the incorruptible seed of His Word in your heart. You do this by finding scriptures that pertain to your needs or desires and meditating on them constantly. By speaking them aloud over and over again, you release your faith until it becomes real to you. It won’t be long before you can see yourself walking in the blessing. Don’t get me wrong, just like any natural farmer, there will be times when you won’t feel like planting any seed. But keep speaking the Word until you are established in the promise. The more seed you have in the ground of your heart, the bigger your harvest will be.

It is also important that you protect your harvest from the “pests” of doubt, fear and unbelief. Satan will try to steal your harvest by sending contradictory circumstances and situations your way. He does this to try and keep you from standing firm on your faith, but don’t be swayed by his attempts. These are the times when you will need to dig your heels in and keep speaking the Word and praising God for your harvest.

Your words connect you to the blessings of God, so whatever you do, don’t speak negative words. Doing so could cost you your harvest. Never allow doubt and fear to enter your heart. This may mean separating yourself from people who don’t speak faith around you. Only listen to words that support what you are believing God for.

Be sure to keep your faith boosted by constantly feeding your spirit the Word. Not only does this contribute to your “planting,” but it also helps keep you in a position to continue believing God. Romans 10:17 says that faith comes by hearing the Word of God. In addition to speaking the Word yourself, listen to tapes and other resources to keep your faith bolstered. The more faith you release out of your mouth, the more faith you will need to put back into your spirit, so don’t slack off on your intake of the Word.

Don’t forget to protect your seed until you see the manifestation of the harvest. Do this by praising and thanking God while you wait. Even when you don’t see anything, don’t worry! Your seed is taking root and growing. Thank God for His promises coming to pass in your life before you see them. This creates an atmosphere of victory that will scare the devil and his buzzards off! He can’t stand it when you praise God.

You will instinctively know when your harvest time has come. It may take six months, or even six years. Regardless of the time frame, don’t get weary and remember that God is faithful to perform what He promised in His Word. Anything of value is worth waiting for and putting forth the effort to see become a reality. Don’t give up during your season of waiting; continue to operate the spiritual farming principles that God has set up for you in His kingdom. It won’t be long before your seed grows up into a mighty harvest that will bless you and all those who cross your path!

Act in Faith Not Foolishness

Creflo Dollar - Creflo Dollar MinistriesCreflo Dollar preached on faith. These study notes will help you to grasp what he was talking about.

by: Creflo Dollar

I am amazed by the number of Christians who act in ways they attribute to faith when in reality they are acts of foolishness. Many times, the disasters that take place in people’s lives are not the result of the devil getting involved, as much as it is the result of people not combining the correct corresponding action with their faith. When we do things that put ourselves or others at risk, we are not operating in faith! To really see the results we are looking for, we must identify what faith really is and the proper actions to take to demonstrate the confidence we have in God and His Word. This does not mean doing something illegal or irrational and calling it faith.

There tends to be a somewhat false belief system about how bible principles work, and how to get things to happen in our lives. The Bible is the manual for living; it is not a magic book. What that simply means is that we cannot expect God to drop money out of the sky or magically cause things to happen for us. Faith is a practical expression of the confidence we have in God’s Word. It involves laws and principles that, when put in motion, will always produce results. However, we must align our actions with our faith to see those things come to pass.

One area where people can get into foolishness is in finances. Let me give you an example. The Scriptures say that God supplies all our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. However, this does not mean you should write “faith” checks to pay your bills when you know you do not have the money in your bank account! Writing bad checks expecting God to magically deposit the money to cover those checks is a bad decision that could have serious consequences. There are people who call this type of action faith, but it is not. If you do not have the manifestation of the necessary funds to pay your bills, writing checks would not be a correct corresponding action. Instead, you should continue to confess the scriptures pertaining to provision and remain in expectation of God meeting your needs.

Another area is healing. Faith for healing must be developed, just like anything else. If you are sick with a serious illness that needs medical intervention, do not refuse to go to the doctor because you are believing God to heal you. Instead, get the medicine you need and take it, believing that as you execute the natural side of things, God’s supernatural ability will get involved with your situation.
